POLITIK KOMUNIKASI MEDIA INTERNET: DIMENSI LOKAL, NASIONAL, DAN GLOBAL

Abstrak

Tulisan  ini membahas  perkembangan  industri  media Internet  pada tataran  lokal, regional, dan global. Beberapa aspek yang dikaji mencakup  aspek ekonomi,  politik, legal. Termasuk juga  peran  para  pelaku  komunikasi  yang  berkaitan  dengan  media  Internet  dan  konten penyajian media Internet di berbagai belahan dunia terutama kawasan Asia. Di kawasan ini, industri media Internet masih didominasi kondisi transisi dari negara-negara totaliter ke arah perkembangan  kehidupan  demokrasi.  Beberapa aspek hukum yang menjadi sorotan adalah Perselisihan  dalam  bisnis  Internet,  Etika jurnalisme  dalam  Era Web,  Peraturan  di tingkat nasional,  Peraturan  di  tingkat  global,  Regulasi  Internet  di  China,  Regulasi  Internet  di Singapura. Sedangkan pembahasan Politik media Internet melihat peran Politik pemerintah, politik dewan legislatif, yudikatif,  Politik bisnis perusahaan,  dan kepentingan  publik dalam media  Internet.  Kawasan  Asia  umumnya  masih  mengalami  penyensoran   ketat  konten Internet seperti di negara-negara  China, Taiwan, Tibet, Malaysia dan Singapura,  Myanmar, Arab Saudi, Iran, Syiria, Tunisia, dan Egypt.
