KOMUNIKASI PROFETIK DALAM TRADISI NYIMPEN CALON JAMAAH HAJI DI LINGKUNGAN SEKARBELA KOTA MATARAM
Abstract
Prophetic communication is communication that plays an important role in a religious context, especially before the pilgrimage. In the nyimpen tradition, communication is intended to convey spiritual and moral messages related to Hajj preparation. The tradition of “Nyimpen,” performed by prospective pilgrims (CJH) in Sekarbela Sub-district, Mataram City, is a cultural ritual that has a deep spiritual dimension. The purpose of the research is to describe how the prophetic communication of prospective pilgrims in Sekarbela, both with fellow pilgrims and with the local community. The research will also describe how the process of the Nyimpen tradition of prospective pilgrims in Sekarbela, Mataram city. This research uses qualitative research methods with an ethnographic approach. Ethnography is a qualitative research approach that focuses on in-depth studies of culture, social practices, and human interactions in natural contexts. Communication that refers to the nyimpen tradition is prophetic communication. Prophetic communication is a new framework in the study of communication science based on an Islamic perspective that is integrated with previously developed communication science studies.
